Classified Mobile Advertisement(M-Ad)

Description: M-Ad hinges on the primary objective of making life simpler and easier than ever before. We had tried to integrate cell phones as a medium to propagate and query classified advertisements through a holistic and synchronized approach. The project inducts user-friendly software that enables both the advertiser and the user to communicate through cell-phones, a medium that is pervasive, consistent and inexpensive. Different types of advertisements are incorporated into the system so that users from all circles of society can benefit from the system. The project incorporated a subsystem that enables a user to advertise and query through SMS in case his/her cell phone doesn’t boast the requirements specified to run our project.

This project was acclaimed overwhelmingly and won the prizes from two national level competition. This project won the third runner up prize in the Citi Financial IT case Competition. The idea of the project won as the best idea in the Banglalink Grandmaster Idea Contest. 

Smart Blood Query

Description:  Blood Query(SBQ) is an intelligent blood donation system using SMS, based on strong and efficient database of donors and some major human characteristics, which may vary region to region. Won the runner up prize in the East West University's Project Competition.

Snakes and Ladders

Description: Snakes and Ladders is a famous board game played between two to four players. This project was completed as a term project of C programming Language.

Content Based Image Retrieval

Tools: Java
Description: CBIR is the application of computer vision techniques to the image retrieval problem, that is, the problem of searching for digital images in large databases. Implemented this project as a part of pattern recognition assignment. To implement the project in pattern recognition coursework I have studied about Content Based Image Retrieval. I have studied several procedures to retrieve image based on its content. But i choose to use neural network to classify the object images. The images for classification are object images that can be divided into foreground and background. To deal with the object images efficiently, in the pre processing step t the object region was extracted using a region segmentation technique. Features for the classification are shape-based texture features extracted from wavelet-transformed images. The neural network classifiers constructed for the features using the back-propagation learning algorithm. Among the various texture features, the diagonal moment was the most effective.

Handwritten Bangla Numeric Character Recognition

Description: Implemented as an assignment of the Machine Learning course. Used neural network for learning the images and then tested for hundreds of images. 

Tourism In Bangladesh

Description: This is a web based application which helps tourists to find necessary information (such as: restaurant facilities, accommodation facilities, transportation) about any tourist place in Bangladesh.

Human Resource Management System

Description: This is a web based solution which automates many of the human resources tasks in a bank. This application provides comprehensive demographic information about the employees, automated HR processes, open enrollment, employee’s performance evaluation and many other features. 

Nachos Operating System

Description: Familiarized with experimental nachos operating system. Implemented system calls, threads, synchronization,interrupts and file system.
